The 3M 'Maintenance Free' Half Face Respirator 3M4251 is a ready-to-use, Half Face Respirator designed for effective and comfortable protection against organic vapour and particulate hazards found throughout industry (A1P2).

3M4251 is a simple and ready-to-use Respirator with an integrated cartridge and filters, offering low breathing resistance.

Includes a resealable bag for hygienic storage and transportation.

Note that any filtering respirator should not be used for protection at airborne concentrations of contaminants above the relevant IDLH levels.

This cartridge/filter, when used for protection against the contaminants as specified, is capable of providing the following protection levels:
- With a 3M 6000 Full Face Respirator: 100 times the Workplace Exposure Standard (WES) or 30 ppm, whichever is the lower

- Kit also contains 3M Respirator Cleaning Wipes, 3M Earplugs and a handy storage container

- To avoid moisture and contaminant exposure, store the respirator in the handy, sealable storage container

The 3M Fit Test Solution FT-32 Bitter is used to test the respirator wearer to a bitter solution. It is used with the 3M Qualitative Fit Test Apparatus Kit FT-30 Bitter.

Test kits and accessories designed to help your organisation meet AS/NZS 1715:2009 mandatory fit testing of respirators for compliance. The products can be used to check face-to-respirator seal on any particulate respirator or gas/vapour respirator with a particulate pre-filter. 3M offers two Qualitative Fit Test Apparatus Kits FT-10 (Sweet) and FT-30 (Bitter). FT-10 uses a test solution of sodium saccharin that produces a sweet tasting aerosol. FT-30 uses a test solution of denatonium benzoate to produce a very bitter taste. The choice between the bitter and sweet fit test kit is a personal one. However, a small percentage of the population is unable to detect saccharin in which case the bitter test must be used.

The 3M Qualitative Fit Test Apparatus Kit contains: a laminated instruction booklet, sensitivity solution, fit test solution, two nebulisers, one hood, one collar assembly and two sets of replacement nebuliser inserts.
